Hackathon Project1.1. Project TitleWeb Platform of online surveys about migrant´s employment situation with a statistical database.

1.2. General Description of the Project
The chosen project is the creation of a web platform that allows migrant´s  perform online surveys. These surveys will allow migrants and persons who are committed to the rights of migration, have access to this information.
Once migrants know about this platform they will have access to the website, so they can contribute by completing surveys to facilitate the development of the defense of their rights.
2. Objectives2.1. General Purpose Create a web platform for online surveys about the migrant´s employment situation.2.2. Specifics Objectives • Generate statistics from surveys in order to provide a useful database for researchers, public officials, students and for people who design migration policies.
• Provide with data visualization for people interested in the defense of migrant rights, like NGO, Social Scientists or Government officers.
• Show percentage tables with the data on the web platform.
Our incentives for migrants for use our platform of surveys.
At the time of finalizing the survey the migrant receive an e-ticket with employment information in public and private institutions.There is other e-ticket but this time is about food: Free food and discounts in different restaurants.

MIGRASURVEY, A WEB PLATFORM FOR ONLINE SURVEYS (Quito - Ecuador)

The Platform will obtain representative statistics of the level of satisfaction of migrants, the project's goal is to reach all migrants around the world and process their Data via Data Mining and that would be considered as Big Data, for then show statistical results in a friendly way through customizable charts, something that until now has not been implemented nationally or

General Description of the ProjectThe chosen project is the creation of a web platform that allows migrant´s  perform online surveys. These surveys will allow migrants and persons who are committed to the rights of migration, have access to this information.
Our project is in the category of "Applications and Tools for NGOs and researchers" and solves one of the main problems of the defenders of the rights of migrant´s, this problem is the lack of enough data for the design and establishment of laws.
For solving this deficiency and highlight the experiences of migrant´s, the Center of Migrants Rights proposed the development of a web platform that would bring together the experiences of migrants.
Once migrants know about this platform they will have access to the website, so they can contribute by completing surveys to facilitate the development of the defense of their rights.

3. ScopeOur project will be in the capacity to collect large amounts of data and be considered as highly available, it will also provide different customizable graphics for obtain statistics through generating a CSV file, this in order to enable compatibility with suites of Office (FreeOffice Calc or Microsoft Excel) for data processing, and in any software that supports this type of file, or in the case of desiring access to based graphics, these will be included in the platform and will be updated in real time.
4. Development and Execution TimesThe Hackathon starts on Saturday November 2, 2013 at 9:30 with team building and ends on Sunday November 3 at 13:00 with the defense and presentation of projects, which gives us an estimated time of approximate 12 hours to establish a development plan, choose the appropriate technology and start coding the application as such.
5. technology to use• One of our top priorities is to make our platform accessible to all the public, for that reason we decided to use standard technology that runs on any web client (Web-Browser).
• For the development of our entire project and our home page we use HTML5 with Javascript and CSS3, which correctly is also viewable on mobile devices like tablets or smartphones.
• For the application that will collect data we use PHP with MySQL, both the latest versions available and stable.
